Welcome to the Learning Support Team at Holy Trinity School

The Learning Support Team at Holy Trinity aims to provide high quality support to pupils with a range of special educational needs.  We support teachers and the pastoral team to ensure all pupils overcome these difficulties and to make sure they can achieve their potential.

The SENCo deploys a range of tools to assess pupils’ needs and uses the data to inform intervention for either small groups or individuals.  Our team works together to monitor and track the progress of all pupils working very closely with subject teachers and outside agencies, whose input is used to support our work and offer advice on ways forward - both as a whole school and for individual pupils.

The department aims to ensure that all needs are met and support is provided in-class by a team of experienced and dedicated Teaching Assistants (TAs) and Learning Support Assistants (LSAs). Continual support is provided for all Senior School students through the P.A.D (Progress and Achievement Department) which is located by the Bridge. The P.A.D is available to students during break and lunchtimes and is also used during curriculum time to deliver both individual and small-group intervention sessions.

Parents play a central role in supporting the work of the Department and we welcome their involvement. Together we can make a difference to the lives of the students we work with.
