Small Shield SEND SUPPORT

Supporting Every Learner

At Holy Trinity, we are committed to ensuring that every child has access to the support they need to thrive. Our Learning Support provision is led by our SENCO, Miss Elwell, who works across the school to identify needs, remove barriers to learning, and ensure that children are supported effectively in and out of the classroom.

We recognise that children learn in different ways and may face a range of challenges. Our approach is personalised, responsive, and underpinned by a belief in high expectations for all pupils. We work in partnership with families, staff and, where appropriate, external agencies, to ensure every child can succeed and feel valued.

If you have any questions or would like to speak with a member of the Learning Support team, please contact Miss Elwell via This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.

Children in Care (CIC)

At Holy Trinity, we are committed to supporting the progress and well-being of all pupils, including those who are looked after. Our provision for Children in Care is designed to be inclusive, nurturing, and tailored to individual needs.

Each child has a personalised education plan (PEP) which is regularly reviewed at PEP meetings. These meetings bring together the pupil, carer, school staff and the social worker to share views and agree clear, achievable targets that help the child make strong academic and emotional progress.

We work in close collaboration with the Virtual School and other agencies to ensure every child has access to the right support at the right time. Our aim is to remove barriers, provide stability and build strong relationships so that all Children in Care feel supported, seen and successful at school.
